married recently at Planta-
tion Holiday Inn in Fort
Lauderdale. Rabbi Sheldon
Haar of Temple Kol Ami
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Gerald Bester-
man, formerly of Detroit, now
residing in Coconut Creek,
Fla. Parents of the bride-
groom are Mr. and Mrs.
Howard Boyar of North
Lauderdale, Fla. and Mrs.
Phyllis Linden of Atlanta, Ga.
Karen Besterman, sister of
the bride, was the maid of
honor and Kelly Peterson was
the bridesmaid. The best man
was Mark Boyar, brother of
the bridegroom. Rick Linden
and Andrew Karpf were
ushers.
Following a honeymoon in
Jamaica, the couple is
residing in Houston.

performed the ceremony.
The bride is the_ daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Merlis of
Boca Raton, Florida, former-
ly of New Jersey. She owns
retail stores in New Jersey.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mrs. Leslie Davidson of West
Bloomfield and the late Mr.
Leslie Davidson. He owns a
computer consulting manage-
ment company.
Following a honeymoon in
Cancun, the couple resides in
South Orange, N.J.

Israel Tour

The Jewish Learning Net-
work of Michigan, announces
a limited number of spaces re-
main for a 10-day tour to
Israel scheduled Dec. 25-Jan.

The tour will cost $1,299 in-
clusive of all traveling and
four- and five-star hotel ac-
commodations as well as two
kosher meals daily. This tour
is especially recommended for
young professionals who have
never been to Israel and will
focus on historical and
biblical sites, guided per-
sonally by Rabbi Jacobovitz.
Reservations for the tour
will be accepted on a first-
come, first-serve basis.
