Itche Goldberg, adjunct pro- fessor of Yiddish language and literature at Queens Col- lege of the City University of New York, will be the featured speaker. His topic will be "Itzik Manger, the Sad Golden Peacock of Yiddish Poetry!' Prof. Goldberg is editor of the magazine Yiddishe Kultur and director of the Ser- vice Bureau for Jewish Education. He is an author, translator, poet and essayist and has received many literary awards including the Israeli Manger Prize in 1986. His latest work is Essayen (in Yiddish) — a collection of 37 essays on Yiddish literature from Mendele to Isaac Bashevis Singer.
