Irving Rosenberg Irving Rosenberg, a manufacturer's represen- tative for a women's sport- swear company, died Oct. 14 at age 73. Born in Russia, Mr. Rosenberg lived 62 years in Detroit. The son of a cantor, Mr. Rosenberg left Russia for Great Britain then came to Detroit where he opened shoe stores. He later became a manufacturer's represen- tative. Rather than retiring, Mr. Rosenberg opened up a women's clothing store in the Renaissance Center. He was a long-time member of Adat Shalom Syangogue, B'nai B'rith and the Zionist Organization of America. He is survived by his wife, Ida; a son, David; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Marcia) Ianni and Mrs. Peter (Sherryl) Winegarden; and five grandchildren. LEAH SCHRODECK, 78, of Oak Park, died Oct. 19. Sur- Edith LaZebnik Edith LaZebnik, a Russian immigrant who turned her experiences into a best-selling book, died Oct. 12. Mrs. LaZebnik was born in David-Horoduk, Minsk Guybernia, Russia, and came to Jackson, Mich., more than 50 years ago. Her book, Such A Life, was a Book-of-the- Month Club selection in 1978, and received acclaim from author Mario Puzo. Mrs. LaZebnik is survived by two daughters, Zelda Gerow of Los Ageles, Calif., and Jeanette Bernhard of Phoenix, Ariz.; four sons, William of Long Island, N.Y., Herbert of Jackson, Jack of Columbia, Mo., and Bob of Jackson; a sister, Bessie Davidson of Southfield; 21 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren.
