The United Hebrew Schools
Campaign to plant a grove in
Israel has been expanded to
create a United Hebrew
Schools Forest.
The custom of planting a
tree in honor of the children's
beginning or renewing their
Jewish education took on an
urgency this year due to the
burning of forests by ter-
rorists in Israel.
The UHS tree campaign
slogan is, "Trees for Trees —
Forests for Forests." Students,
parents, relatives, friends,
teachers, staff, administra-
tion and all UHS affiliates
are paricipating in this cam-
paign. Each participant in
the United Hebrew Schools
Forest will be included in the
honorary roster of forest
rescuers.
