FIBER CEREALS.

For People With a Healthy Interest In Eating Well.

Nearly 1,000 people packed
Adat Shalom Synagogue Sun-
day night for a ceremonial
dinner honoring Rabbi Efry
Spectre, who is celebrating
his 10th anniversary with the
congregation.
Special guest speaker for
the evening was author Eli
Wiesel, winner of the 1986
Nobel Peace Prize. Like the
other speakers, Wiesel
prasied Rabbi Spectre, who
received an honorary doc-
torate of divinity degree for
his 25 years in the rabbinate
from Rabbi William Lebeau,
vice chancellor of the Jewish
Theological Seminary.
"My being here is simply
the same as one of you ap-
plauding the rabbi," Weisel
said, adding that it is good to
hear good words about rabbis
during an election year which
is filled with "so much
nonsense."
"With the way you show af-
fection here tonight, I am
sorry I didn't become a rabbi,"
Wiesel said.

New York — An Israeli-
based manufacturer which in-
vented a popular hair
removal product is suing
Remington products for
allegedly violating a con-
fidential agreement, patent
infringement and unfair
competition.
The suit is based in part
that Mepro, a kibbutz-owned
manufacturing facility, had
entered into negotiations
with Remington to explore
marketing possibilities
within the United States. In
doing so, the lawsuit states,
confidential material related
to all aspects of manufactur-
ing and marketing the pro-
duct, called Epilady, were
given to Remington.

Arabs Nabbed
For Murder

Jerusalem (JTA) — Securi-
ty forces have arrested two
Israeli Arabs for the murder
of a Palestinian from the West
Bank alleged to have col-
laborated with the Israeli
authorities.
The suspects, Mahmoud
Othman Jabarin and
Mohammad Ahmad Jabarin,
were apprehended on Oct. 8,
two days after Ahmad
Zaaghur was shot to death in
a coffee shop in the Israeli
Arab town of Umm el-Fahm.
They reportedly confessed
to the crime.
