Krastof, and Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation will be held at
Franklin Racquet Club in
Southfield on Oct. 28 from 8
p.m. to 1 a.m.
The band performing will
be "Shindig" and there will
be a cash bar.
Tickets will be sold at the
door. Proceeds to benefit the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Rabbis Meyerowitz and Schwartz will share new perspectives and insights on the
miracle of being Jewish in America and the magic Judaism holds for each of us
— in so many different ways. Outstanding anecdotes from their pulpit experiences
will also highlight this one-of-a-kind program! For singles in 1988, "The Miracle of
Being Jewish" takes on new meanings!

singles happy hour. There
will be a complimentary Hors
d'oeurve buffet, dancing, and
a special theme planned for
the evening. The program is
sponsored by the Jewish Com-
munity Center.

Californians
Reel In Honors

New York (JTA) — Beverly
Fray, a student at the Unvier-
sity of Southern California,
and Rheyna Halpern, a stu-
dent at the California In-
stitute of the Arts, took top
honors in the Anti-
Defamation League of B'nai
B'rith's 1988 Dore Schary
Award for Human Relations
Film and Video Productions.
Fray took first place in the
film category for The Long
Walk Home, a drama about
the impact the Montgomery,
Ala., bus boycott in 1955 had
on a black family and a white
family.
Halpern won first place in
the video category with
Language Says It All.
