Dr. Bernstein received his undergraduate degrees in English and education at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Jewish American literature at the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1977. He has worked for many years as a Jewish educator and now lectures in the department of English at the University of Michigan. A registration fee includes the seminar and lunch.
