Fred Friendly At HMC Dinner TV journalist andconcen- tration camp liberator Fred W. Friendly will be the guest speaker at the Holocaust Memorial Center's fourth an- niversary dinner on Nov. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Renaissance Ballroom at the Westin Hotel. More than 40 years ago, Friendly promised Mauthau- sen's prisoners and himself that for the rest of his life, he would bear witness to the wholesale death he en- countered there. Following his discharge from the service, Friendly was the producer of documen- taries and other news- oriented programs on NBC and in 1948, he produced the first of six "I Can Hear It Now" record albums for Col- umbia Records. He then became executive producer of CBS News' "See It Now" with Edward R. Murrow and was the originator and executive producer of "CBS Reports" from 1950 to 1966. Susan Vigorito, the youngest sur- vivor of Auschwitz-Birkenau, will be among the special guests. Mrs. Heiltje Koositra Bos of Utrecht, Holland, who together with her husband, but unknown to her children, hid eight Jews for three years, will receive the Righteousness Award. Her daughter, Mrs. Anneke Burke, son-in-law and grand- children of Mayville, Mich., will also be present. Leslie Rose is dinner chair- man and Jack A.
