the world know that they are

spirits who would not betray
the image of God in them
must be helped through our
friendship to live out their re-
maining years in dignity.
They are models for the
education of our young. They
remind us of the possibilities
of working for a better future
and a healthier society.

A few weeks ago, the Or-
thodox community felt it was
necessary to state that "inter-
marriage is worse than in-
cest." An article appeared in
The Jewish News stating,
"Orthodox rabbinical group
recently met in New York to
call for a mass campaign to
alert the public to the
dangers of Reform and Con-
servatism."
When I was growing up in
the 1930s, we regularly heard
from the non-Jewish pulpit
