Light, chairman of the board of Sterling, Inc., recent- ly received the Brandeis University Distinguished Community Service Award in recognition of his leadership. Light, who now lives in Ohio, began his career 34 years ago in Detroit as a salesman. He also served as vice president of merchandis- ing at Rose Jewelers and as a buyer, general manager and executive vice president of Shifrin Willens, Inc. He join- ed Sterling, Inc., in 1977.
