The public is invited to both lectures; there is no charge, and lunch will be provided free of charge. Tuesday is open house for the entire Grosberg Religious Center. The Grosberg Religious Center is the con- sortium of religious organiza- tions on the campus of Wayne State University. At Hillel at 1 p.m., Prof. Sid Kelman will speak. Kelman, who has lived in Israel for 16 years, is an oleh from Detroit. The title of his talk is "Perspectives: An American in Israel, and Israeli in America." Prof. Kelman will demonstrate how the same news story is handled dif- ferently in the Detroit News and the Israeli daily paper Maariv. He is professor of American history in Israel, specializing in the history of the labor movement. On sab- batical this year in Detroit, he is teaching American history at Wayne State University and at Oakland Community College. On Thursday, Detroit Free Press editorial writer Mariusz Ziomecki will speak at Hillel at 1 p.m. Ziomecki will discuss his perspectives on the Middle East, especially in the light of his recent trip to Israel. The public is invited to the Ziomecki lecture free of charge. A free luncheon will be served.
