in the trust of volunteer
babysitters Flo Nitzkin, Bar-
bara Traison and Ella Baker
until noon.
Formed as a means to ex-
pand the home's volunteer
corps by providing on-site
babysitters, the BZB Club
also brightens the residents'
spirits when the babies are
brought by their sitters to
visit the "bubbies" and
"zadies".
Among the BZB Club
members are Dr. Sheri
DeVries, and son Danny,
Shelley Nadiv and daughter
Danielle, Lisa Shepherd and
daughter Alee, and Cathy
Wasserman and son Zachary.
Volunteers with children
under age 3 are invited to
participate in the BZB Club.

Rabbi Dannel Schwartz

the American Jewish Com-
mittee's Detroit Chapter
Intra-Jewish Dialogue, will
preside at the first program of
a four-part series on "Styles
of Jewish Living and Educa-
tion" in conjunction with the
Jewish Community Center's
Center for Jewish Creativity
and Exploration.
In subsequent programs,
Robert Harris, Harold Berry
and Robert Weiss will preside
with representative spokes-
men from each of the
denominations presenting
what is best in their way of
Jewish life and practice.
In the middle of this
workshop series there will be
a major Jewish dialogue
chaired by Dr. Zvi Gitelman
and featuring seven represen-
tative rabbis from the
community.
The community is invited
at no charge.

JHA Begins
BZB Club

Each Wednesday at 10 a.m.,
a group of young mothers,
their children, and three
grandmothers arrive at the
Jewish Home for Aged's Bor-
man Hall to participate in the
newly-formed Bubbies (grand-
mothers), Zadies (grand-
fathers), and Babies Club
(BZB Club).
The mothers, who spend the
morning as volunteers

Pre-Natal Talk
At Temple Israel

Temple Israel will present
"Bagels and Babies," an infor-
mation meeting for expectant
parents and those thinking
about that first child, or those
just wishing to refresh their
knowledge, at 10 a.m. Oct. 16
in the temple's Herman Hall.
The program, featuring
Rabbis M. Robert Syme,
Harold Loss and Paul Yedwab,
along with social worker
Janice Tracht and pediatri-
cian Dr. Daniel A. Schnaar,
will discuss Jewish rituals
surrounding birth (including
baby naming), as well as
newborn care and the ad-
justments which occur when
a couple becomes a family.
The program is free to the
public. Call the temple office,

tions. This program is spon-

Jewish Experiences For
Families.
