Marceau World Centre for
Mime announces the for-
thcoming performance of
Israel's Yoram Boker Mime
Troupe on Oct. 22, 8 p.m. at
the Lydia Mendelssohn
Theater in Ann Arbor.
Tickets are available at
Ticketmaster outlets in the
Michigan Union and at
Hudson's.
Founder/Director Yoram
Boker and troupe members
Edit Limor and Uri lbnnen-
baum will present a collage of
vignettes that explore the
drama, humor and conflict in-
herent in Jewish life in and
outside of Israel.
Founded in 1970, the Boker
Mime Theater adds dance
movements and props and
masks to its Marcel Marceau-
influenced form of
pantomime.
The Boker Mime Theater
has performed all over the
world including Taiwan;
Avignon; Edinburgh; Paris;
Florence; and Munich. Its na-
tionwide fall 1988 tour is part
of "Independence and In-
terdependence: Israel-North
America Cultural Exchange,"
a year-long Israel-at-40 series
of programs designed to pro-
mote greater intercultural
understanding trough the
arts.

The Center for New Think-
ing will feature Rabbi Sher-
win Wine in a discussion of
"Who Wrote the Bible?
Religion and Politics in An-
cient Israel" on Tuesday, at
7:30 p.m. in the Bloomfield
Township Library.
A review of The Truly
Disadvantaged by William
Wilson will be presented at
the Somerset Mall auditor-
ium, Thursday at 10 a.m.
