twice the production level of
-2 1 1986.
As Israel's sole producer of
> "designer" water, the four-year-
old Jordan Water company is
the only supplier able to
quench the thirsts of a dynam-
ic local market, a lively tourist
i 7 market and a rapidly develop-
ing export market. According
to company manager, Avishay
Hamburger, projections for
1987 indicate that sales in
Israel and abroad are on the
verge of doubling yet again.
—, Such an incredible rate of
X growth means that output
must also increase if Jordan
Waters is to keep up with de-
mand. For this reason, plans
have been completed for a new
production line that will go in-
to operation soon. This fully-
, automated system is designed
to triple production capacity to
more than 15,000 bottles per
hour. A total of four million
bottles will be produced '
monthly.
Yet, despite their success at
rapidly expanding their mar-
ket — despite their increased
sales to airlines serving Israel,
including El-Al and Air France,
their growing exports to Afri-
ca, and the doubled consump-
tion of mineral waters in Israel
— Jordan Water Springs has
one major goal still remaining
— to successfully penetrate the
vast American market. The
first step in fulfilling this
dream is already underway.
Shipments of Eden brand min-
eral water have started to ar-
rive in the Miami area, and it is
hoped that total American ex-
`7 ports will reach two million
bottles this year. If so, the
bright plastic bottles of Eden
brand Mineral Waters — "the
Champagne of Nature
should become an increasingly
common sight in superman
'—' kets, hotels and restaurants
7` around the world.
