rT Headquarters for 1989 CADILLACS NOW IN STOCK to describe Max Fisher in 25 words or less. Among the authors of this plaque are Paul Borman, Rabbi Richard C. Hertz, Rabbi Irwin Groner, David Hermelin, Jason Hon- igman and Alan E. Schwartz. (-7Borman marvels at Fisher's civic success, and he tells The Jewsh News: "Max is remarkable. In his own in- imitable way he's able to do these kinds of things. Here's a man who walks in the highest circles of government and he carries it out with such aplomb .. . "He had no formal training for this, but he does it so well. He does everything so well." Says Gordon Zacks, "The way Max has influenced others is by influencing himself. He leads by example. He has given of his time, his money, and has shared him- ' self completely in service of the Jewishpeople . . . When he reaches out to recruit peo- ple for their money or time, he is a role model — he has -, already given of himself." Jason Honigman concurs. "Max sits down with people and gives them a pitch why they should do something. For those who have the money and time to do it, he pitches ( what he pitches for himself." And this consumate pitch t --;- man has no intention of slow- ing down. "I'm not ready to r retire," he says, citing his work with the Detroit Renais- sance civic group, the Jewish ) Agency, U.S. politics and his vast business interests. "What fun is it to retire = when I'm having so much fun?" ❑ !NEWS DAVID BIBER CRSSMAN CADILLAC 644-1930 1350 N. Woodward Birmingham, Mich. But they do have "a keen and in-depth understanding of Christian subjects," the poll revealed. The survey, conducted by the Ipsos organization for the newspaper Le Monde and Radio Luxembourg, found that only 17 percent of those questioned knew that Moses "led his people out of Egypt." Only 17 percent knew that Moses received th Ten Com- mandments. Others question- ed described him as a Jewish leader, a prophet, and some thought he was one of the 12 apostles. 30400 Telegraph Rd.
