. . . and he's a yummier of the
jumbo dog, twice the size ( 1/4
pound) of the regular dog.
It is a seven-day-a-week
operation . . . located in the
new Village Commons Mall
on Grand River, Y4 mile east
of Farmington Road.
Larry may have left his post
as a musician, but he and
wife Mimi are making plenty
of good music with their
highly-received "Hot Dawg!
. . . And More" casual dining
operation.
STILL CAN'T understand
some delicatessens overly
staurating their tuna salad so
much that the taste is more
like mayonnaise sandwiches
. . . Yet these delis have the
nerve to say theirs is the best!
MAIL DEPT. . . . "On the
eve of the Jewish New Year, I
had the opportunity to eat a
home-cooked, traditional-
style holiday meal prepared
by Bubbies Edibles. I cannot
stress enough the quality and
presentation of this meal.
"The chicken soup had a
wonderful 'made from
scratch' kind of flavor and col-
or you could never get out of
a can. Also, in the soup were
carrots and noodles you could
see. The matzo balls were
light and airy and showed
real care in their making.
"The tzimes was by no-
means a bowl of mashed
potatoes. You could actually
see the chunks of potatoes,
sweet potatoes, carrots and
prunes and you could taste
the sweetness of the natural
honey flavoring.
"The stuffing was delicious.
No hunting around for the
carrots and celery in this mix-
ture. They remained bright
and visable throughout and
retained their crunchiness as
well.

AGAIN THERE is talk

ing here from the West Coast
... (And a messy chop suey to
you, too) . . . This is the third

"The apple cake dessert
was the best of all. The cin-
namony aroma filled the
whole room and you knew
this had to be home-baked.
You could see it close up, too.
No hidden apples or nuts in
this creation.
"The name Bubbies Edibles
is a very good one as the foods
represented by it do indeed re-
mind me of my grandmother's
(Bubby) cooking?'
