Rabbi Julian Cook
Cincinnati in 1972. A native
of Ann Arbor, he was gradu-
ated from the University of
Michigan and served as direc-
tor of Reform camps at
Zionsville, Ind., and was
director of youth activities for
the Midwest region of the
Union of American Hebrew
Congregations.
He is working toward a doc-
toral degree at the Universi-
ty of Florida and is writing
his dissertation on the history
of the Reform Jewish day
school movement.

Holiday Series
Temple Emanu-El will hold
two holiday workshop series
classes beginning Thursday
and continuing through June
23.
Classes will be offered 12:15
to 2:45 p.m. and 7:15 to 9:45
p.m. Thursdays„
The class will teach par-
ticipants how to celebrate
Shabbat and major Jewish
holidays in their homes; the
meanings of the holidays; and
how to begin or enhance
Jewish holiday traditions.
