Rabbi David Feldman Named
Beth Achim Weekend Scholar
Rabbi David M. Feldman of
the Jewish Center of Teaneck,
N.J., will be the weekend
scholar at Congregation Beth
Achim on Oct. 7 and 8.
Rabbi Feldman is the
author of Birth Control in
Jewish Law: Marital Rela-
tions, Contraception and
Abortion, The Jewish Family
Relationship and Health and
•Medicine in the Jewish
Tradition.
Rabbi Feldman pursued
graduate studies at Columbia
and the University of Illinois,
and holds degrees from
Yeshiva University and the
Jewish Theological Seminary.
He is a founding fellow of
the Hastings Institue of
Society, Ethics and the Life
Sciences, and a member of the
editorial advisory of the En-
cyclopedia of Bioethics, spon-
sored by the Kennedy
Institute.
The weekend will begin at
6 p.m. Oct. 7 with Kabbalat
Shabbat services. Shabbat
dinner will follow, at which
