She is the past chairman of the Southfield Democratic Club and the State House taxation subcommittee on tax credits. She was the executive direc- tor of a statewide citizen's net- work organized to lobby legislators on consumer issues. She is affiliated with the executive boards of the 17th District and Oakland County Democratic Parties, Oakland County Council — Children at Risk, National Organization for Women, Southfield Arts Council, NAACP and the League of Women Voters.
