Young Israel Sisterhood
will feature Jocelyn Ruth
Krieger in "Around the World
in, Song" at its opening
meeting at Young Israel of
Oak-Woods on Wednesday at
8:30 p.m.
At 16, Mrs. Krieger won the
Belle Isle Auditions, and
subsequently was invited to
appear in concerts with the
Detroit Concert Band. Later
on, she was a guest soloist
with the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra and appeared in
off-Broadway productions as
well.
She studied musical theater
at the American Theatre
Wing and Mischa Kottler in-
structed her in piano. Cur-
rently, she performs in a
variety of languages for
women's audiences.

University in the Woods has already gained 'a reputation for warmth, excitement, and a
different way to escape routines and "normal" life! Geared to persons 45 years of age and
older, the program offers intellectual stimulation, warm fellowship, and relaxation and
recreation through outdoor activities.
This up-coming program, entitled The Arts, a Window to the Jewish Soul, will feature Danny
Siegel, poet and author, Corinne Stavish, story teller extraOrdinaire, and Irving Berg, a well-
known Detroit sculptor.
DATES: 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 9 through 10 a.m. Friday, November 11.
