diagnosed as having Acquired

sion entitled "AIDS: A Jewish
Community Response." Co-
sponsored by Sinai Hospital,
the Jewish Family Service,
Jewish Parents Institute, the
Jewish Community Center,
and Chai Lifestyles, the pur-
pose of the panel is to discuss
the impact of AIDS on the
Jewish community, and pro-
mote awareness of uniquely
Jewish responses to the
problem.
Panelists will include:

Director, Jewish Family Ser-
vice; Rabbi Marc Blumenthal,

Washington (JTA) — A
34-member group of Middle
East and foreign policy ex-
perts urged the next presi-
dent to make one of his first
priorities the appointment of
a special envoy for the Middle
East.
Former Vice President
Walter Mondale and
Lawrence Eagleburger,
former undersecretary of
state for political affairs,
cochairmen of the Presiden-
tial Study Group on U.S.
Policy in the Middle East,
warned that the danger of a
new Mideast war is increas-
ing because of the arms race
and the end of the Iran-Iraq
War.
