NEWS Israeli Boxers Reinstated In Olympics Tel Aviv (JTA) — The Inter- national Boxing Federation's suspension of three Israeli boxers was lifted in time for them to compete the Olympic Games which started in Seoul, South Korea, last Saturday. The boxers had been sus- pended for touring South Africa last June, in violation of the international sports boycott of the apartheid state. As a result of the tour, the Israel Boxing Federation was expelled from the interna- tional group. Nevertheless, the boxers had gone to Seoul as members of the Israeli Olym- pic team. They were rein- stated after the Israeli federa- tion explained to the interna- tional authorities that the trio already has been disci- plined for participating in South African tournaments secretly, and in defiance of ex- plicit orders.
