Chamber Board

Yoram Gabbay, the new con-
sul for economic affairs of the
government of Israel Invest-
ment and Export Authority
for the Midwest, will serve as
a speaker at two events
hosted by the American-
Israel Chamber of Conference
of Michigan and a series of
business meetings, including
a meeting with the Task
Force of the Michigan Depart-
ment of Commerce.
Consul Gabbay will address
the chamber's first fall board
meeting on the status of the
Israeli economy and offer a
profile of Israeli industry on
September 14 at 7:30 p.m. at
the home of Sam Karp, a
chamber board member.
The second half of the
meeting will be a review of
the strategy for the Chamber
year 1988-1989 by President
Doug Schubot, followed by an
update on the status of the
American-Israel __Education
and Economic Trade Institute
by its president, Jack Zwick.
Jim Safran, Chairman of
the Board and of the Trade In-
stitute, will discuss the
Michigan Israel Commercial
Horizons (M.I.C.H.) now pen-
ding in the state house and
an update on the national
Chamber developments.
Bill Farber, programming
vice president, will host a
breakfast at his home the
following morning on Thurs-
day, September 15 at which
time Consul Gabbay will ad-
dress the Ambassadors' Task
Force of the Business
Resources Committee.
