MANILOW. When the

back-up singers out into
the audience at the Pine

questions, Debbie raised
her hand. The singer
placed the microphone in
front of her and she asked
Manilow, "How would you
like to meet a nice Jewish
girl?" Manilow was stunned
and speechless for a time
and asked Debbie, "Am I
meeting one right now?"

FANTASY SHOW

ELLYCE FIELD and
SUSAN SHLOM, authors of
the book; Kids and Cars: A
Parent's Survival Guide for
Family Travel, (Mellius &
Peterson), wrote a guide on
how to make family
traveling enjoyable and
rewarding instead of
frustrating. It seems that
the authors really have
first-hand experience on
pleasurable vacations. In
addition to traveling with
the children, Field and
Shlom recently had an all-
expense paid trip to New
York with limo rides for
their recent appearance on
the CBS show "This
Morning!' "It was the best
experience — a fantasy,"
says Field.
