Mishpachah
Program Begins
Adat Shalom Synagogue
will launch its 1988-1989
Mishpachah program with
the first of four events on
Sept. 18.
Mishpachah is designed for
Adat Shalom Nursery School
families who wish to share
year-long Jewish experiences
and enhance Jewish learning.
The program also is open to
families with preschool
children in the general com-
munity. There is no charge.
From 10 a.m. to noon Sept.
18, parents and children will
explore Sukkot through
music, crafts and stories. Call
Dottie Levitsky, 851-5100, by
Wednesday for reservations,
which are required.
The Adat Shalom Mishpa-
chah program is co-sponsored
by Jewish Experiences For
Families. Futue Mishpachah
events include " A Make and
Take Shabbat Experience" on
Jan. 29, "Be Happy, It's
Adar" on March 5, and a
family picnic on June 4.
Emanu-El Offers
Adult Workshop
Emanu-El will offer
the "Holiday Workshop
Series," an adult education
program focusing on how to
celebrate Shabbat and all the
major holidays at home with
one's family.
Beginning Oct. 6 and en-
ding June 23, the class will be
offered on Thursday from
12:15 to 2:45 p.m. and from
7:15 to 9:45 p.m. at Temple
Emanu-El. There is a charge.
