WJR-AM radio personality Warren Pierce serv- ed as master of ceremonies for the evening at which guests enjoyed a kosher buffet light supper and dancing to the music of The People's Choice as well as viewing the cars from the early 1900s to the 1950s. "It is a platitude," Avner said, "to say you are the future." The evening was the occasion to pay tribute to Donald Wagner and Lawrence Wolfe, co-founders of the division and co-chairmen since its founding nearly five years ago. David B. Hermelin, interna- tional campaign chairman of State of Israel Bonds, praised the duo for bringing the group from a small handful of people to an organization boasting an executive board of about 20 and a general board of nearly 30. "What we are really recognizing tonight is leadership, " Hermelin said.
