The Jewish Association for
Retarded Citizens will pre-
sent "An Intimate Evening
with Marvin Hamlisch" on
Oct. 11 at Ford Auditorium.
Recipient of many prestigious
awards, including a Pulitzer
Prize, Tony Award and Gram-
my Award, Hamlisch is best
known for creating the music
for A Chorus Line and the
film The Way We Were.
Nancy Jacobson will serve
as concert chairman for the-
JARC annual fund-raising
event. Mrs. Jacobson is a vice
president for JARC and
previously chaired the
afterglow committee for the
past two JARC events, "The
Great Gershwin Concert" last
year and "Itzhak Perlman in
Concert" in 1986.
She is a board member of
the Women's Division of the
Jewish Welfare Federation
and is chairman of the Ad-
vanced Gift Section for the
Women's Division of the
Allied Jewish Campaign. She
also is a board member of the
Anti-Defamation League,

Federation Meeting

- The Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion's 62nd annual meeting
will take place 7:30 p.m. Sept.
29 at Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue.
This year's meeting will
feature a video premiere,
"Love Thy Neighborhood,"
focusing on the Neighborhood
Project and on Yavneh,
Detroit's new Project Renewal
