1,400 Fires
Since April
Tel Aviv (JTA) — Since the
beginning of April, there have
been 1,400 fires in Israel that
have destroyed 2,500 acres of
planted forests, more than
10,000 acres of natural forest
and 25,000 acres of grazing
land and uncultivated fields.
According to the Jewish Na-
tional Fund, there has been a
decline in such incidents in
recent weeks. However, last
week there were 23 fires.
