Installs. Officers

The sisterhood of Congrega-
tion B'nai David will install
its officers and board
members Saturday at Shab-
bat morning services. Rabbi
Morton Yolkut will be install-
ing officer.
Eleanor Maness will be in-
stalled as continuing

The Michigan Women's
Foundation and the
American Association of
Retired Persons will sponsor
a seven-week series on finan-
cial education for women.
The sessions will meet at 7
p.m. Wednesdays beginning
Sept. 28; in the cafeteria of
Southfield High School.
There is a fee.

Has Meeting

Co-Operative Council of the
League of Jewish Women's
Organizations, will meet on
Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the
Jewish War Veterans
Memorial Home.

Council, announces that the

Joan Israel
To Speak

The Metro Detroit Chapter
of WAND, Women's Action for
Nuclear Disarmament, will
open its 1988-1989 season
with a talk by Joan Israel,
clinical social worker, author
and femithst, 7:30 p.m. Sept.
6 at the Parks and Recreation
Center in the Southfield Civic
Center. She will speak on
"New Strategies for Women:
The Risks and Rewards of
Taking Power."

Hadassah
Meeting Set

The Greater Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah will
hold its opening meeting,
Sept. ' 6 at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek.
Doors open at 10 a.m. for
shopping. At noon a gourmet
lunch will be served. After
lunch, Annette Meskin,
former chapter president and
a national vice president, will
give a Hadassah update. Phil
Marcus Esser and Barbara
Bredius will perform.

The Women's Orthodox
League's first meeting of the
