Interment Detroit. Maurice Raznick Maurice L. Raznick, former vice president of sales for Vlasic Foods, died Aug. 14 at age 78. Mr. Raznick was at- tending his grandson's wed- ding at Adat Shalom Synagogue and was marking his birthday at the time of his death. Born in Russia, Mr. Raznick lived 43 years in Detroit. He was a member of Adat Shalom and formerly served on its cemetery committee. He was a member of the City of Hope, Men's ORT Federa- tion, and was a past president of Tikvah Lodge, B'nai B'rith. A Detroit resident for many years, Mr. Cashwan was liv- ing in Raleigh, N.C. at the time of his death. He came to Detroit 60 years ago as the first sculpture teacher at the Society of Arts and Crafts (Center for Creative Studies). He created a number of large sculptures in the Detroit area, including the William Brady statue on Belle Isle, a stainless steel hanging sculpture for Manufacturers Bank, and play sculptures for Westland and Oakland Malls. He was a winner of the Founders Society Award of the Detroit Institute of Arts, and in 1942 the New York Museum of Art named him one of the 11 most talented sculptors in the United States. Mr. Cashwan leaves his wife, Vera; a daughter, Mrs. William (Helen) Kelly; four sisters, Mrs. Samuel (Belle) Waze of Delray Beach, Fla., Mrs. Ira (Violet) Knaster of New York, Mrs. Charles (Min- na) Rubin of Farmington Hills, and Mrs. Henry (Alice) Thumin of Southfield; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Albert Cole Albert Cole, a certified public accountant with the firm of Cole and Hollander, died Aug. 15 at age 79. Born in New York, Mr. Cole lived 50 years in Detroit. He was a CPA for more than 40 years. He was a member of B'nai B'rith, the Masons, and Temple Emanu-El. He leaves a daughter, Karen Warner; and two granddaughters.
