the expiration date before sending for the rebate. Since
school supplies do not spoil or go out of style, it is not
unheard of for a supplier to fill a stores order with mer-
chandise containing outdated rebate form.
Take the kids along to pick out their supplies. Choos-
ing their own notebooks, book bags, and the like, may
help them value purchases. The color of notebooks or
pencil boxes may seem a small decision to you, but
may mean a lot to the children.
While you have the kids with you do lunchbox
sluthing. Have the children Walk the aisles and tell you
what items they would like to have packed in their lun-
ches, as well as items for afterschool snacks.
Purchase as much of the needed items as soon as

possible. As the weeks go by, the supplies will dwin-
dle. Have you ever tried to buy a lunch box in March?
