Formerly the player-coach,
four-time national champion
Michelle Mantel will try to
pass on her knowledge as
coach this year. Rob Winer
and Steve Katz will play both
singles and doubles. Brad
Shulman and lbdd Stoneman
will play singles while one of
the two will team up with
Steve Sampson in doubles.

BASKETBALL

A strong backcourt duo
leads the well-tested team.
All-County star Matt Hoff-
man and Jamie Stewart, both
from North Farmington High
School, will lead the team's
attack. Joey Hurshe, son of
coach Burt Hurshe, and Brad
Rosenberg are the forwards
with strong rebounder Darin
Frank at center. The team
has scrimmaged several high
school squads this summer,
earning respect at Detroit's
famous basketball shrine, St.
Cecelia's.
The squad includes Matt
Frankel, Dave Hubert, Mike
Lilov, Ray Melton, Ben Pin-
sky, Darin Rosenberg, Jeff
Rosenberg and Adam Sha-
piro. Doug Hoffman is the
assistant coach. ■

A senior at Michigan State
University, Hollander holds
