who all responded — called
Herb and Loni back for
several curtain calls. Really
took us back to the good old
days. Well worth the 60-mile
ride from Palm Beach Coun-
ty!"
Harvey and Verna Barnett
VAN DYAN WRITES .. .
"Helene and I are always
looking to find new
restaurants, ones that have
good food, fine presentation
and a nice, comfortable at-
mosphere. Well, we found
another one. Pike St.
Restaurant in Pontiac has the
ambiance and fine fod that
Helene and I both enjoy. After
suggesting to her about going
there one evening and trying
it, we were certainly not
disappointed.
From the time we pulled up
and the valet took our car to
the fine waiter, Jon Paul
Slovak, it was a most en-
joyable evening. We had told
Jon that we would like a nice,
quiet, leisurely dinner, enjoy
a cocktail prior and a glass of
wine with the specials he sug-
gested. Helene and I both
opted for the halibut and were
thoroughly satisfied. We en-
joyed the dinner and ex-
perience at Pike St.
Restaurant and for certain
will go back."
BROTHERS GUS, Gene
and Steve Kasapis, owners of
the Ram's Horn Restaurants,
and Larry Slater, have open-
ed a new national chicken
fast food franchise . . . Fry-
day's Chicken.
Fryday's CHicken was
established in May ... Prior
to the first opening, over 18
months of research on the
chicken and fast food industry
was conducted . . . The owners
of Fryday's Chicken sought
out the nation's top manufac-
turers, delivery companies
and suppliers for the top corn-
bination to operate their new
endeavor.
The first Fryday's Chicken
opened July 6 on W. Seven
Mile Road in Livonia . . .
Franchise plans are to open at
least 25 new stores within the
next year ... Fryday's
Chicken number two is slated
to open in late September.
Two kinds of chicken will be
carried . . . golden roasted
and seasoned crispy ... Also
salads, potatoes, corn-on-the-
cob, chicken noodle soup,
chicken nuggets, sandwiches
desserts and beverages.
Fryday's Chicken offers
both delivery or carry-out ser-
vice . . . It is the only chicken
delivery service available in
the metro Detroit area .. .
and will deliver right to the
customer's door at no charge
(to limited areas.)
