Techiyah Moves
Farther Right

Jerusalem (JTA) — The
right-wing Techiyah party
moved farther to the right by
assigning presumably safe
seats on its Knesset election
list to three uncompromising
hard-liners in balloting last
Wednesday.
Elyakim Haetzni, Benny
Katzover and Avi Farhan
were given the fifth, sixth,
and seventh spots
respectively.
Techiyah, which holds five
seats in the present Knesset,
expects to win at least two
more seats in the Nov. 1 elec-
tions. Opinion polls predict an
especially strong showing
among younger voters, both
soldiers and civilians.
The first four Techiyah slots
were filled by the party's
founding leaders in an earlier
ballot. They are Yuval
Ne'eman, Geula Cohen, Ger-
shon Shafat and Rabbi
Eliezer Waldman.
All are outspoken ultrana-
tionalists, but the new can-
didates are, if anything, more
militant.

Shoah Memorial
Set For Toronto

Toronto (JTA) — The Parks
and Recreation Committee of
North York, a suburb of
Toronto, has approved the
building of a 36-foot memorial
to survivors of the Holocaust.
The monument, expected to
be built by 1990 in Earl Bales
Park on Bathurst. Street, is
Canada's first public
memorial to victims of the
Holocaust.
North York has t E largest
Jewish populatior of any
Canadian municiz, J.Ii.ty-, and
many Holocaust survivors
live within walking distance
of the park.

Robert L. Hymers, the head of
the Baptist Tabernacle of Los
Angeles who has been in-
strumental in leading the
anti-Semitic-tinged protests
surrounding Universal Pic-
tures' "The Last Temptation
of Christ," has been running
an active outreach conversion
program targeting Jews,
while also maintaining close
links with Jews for Jesus.
The Los Angeles Jewish
Journal reported that the
Baptist clergyman was mar-
ried six years ago by Moshe
Rosen, leader of Jews for
Jesus, an organization
Hymers admitted supporting
financially.

You've had an accident. Maybe it involves your car and it's
banged up. Now what?

migraine headaches, extreme nervousness, in-
somnia or arthritis.
