"LIVING ROOM"

On Monday Evening, August 15, at 6:45 p.m. a seg-
ment from the new "LIVING ROOM" program design-
ed for teens and their parents will be presented. Set
in an informal atmosphere, family members will be
given the opportunity to respond to issues based in
Jewish text and manifested in modern society. Built
on the LIFE AND VALUES EXPERIENCE PROGRAM
(LAVE) developed by the National Conference of
Synagogue Youth, the program will incorporate
discussion, simulation and contemporary television
viewing to develop and clarify Jewish values for fami-
ly members. The lessons are designed to encourage
family interaction, learning and fun. The evening is
opened to all families with children from eighth to
twelfth grades. Dinner will be served at a nominal
cost. Reservations are required. Call the synagogue
office at 547-7970 by Aug. 8th.

His Son At Temple Beth El

will conduct the installation
of his son, Rabbi Daniel F.
Polish, as the new senior rab-
bi of Temple Beth El on Sept.
9.

founding rabbi of Beth Emet,
the Free Synagogue, in
Evanston, Ill., where he serv-
ed for 30 years until his
retirement in 1980. He was
