of his tenure.
"If voters want to change
direction they should vote for
one of the other candidates.
I'm going to continue the
tough, no plea bargaining
policies we've instituted over
the past 16 years."
Thompson also says he
thinks it is important for the
prosecuting attorney to be
outspoken on important
issues and that they are
obligated to get the system to
change.

Jeff Leib

Fessler says that the system
in the prosecutor's office is
ready for change. He says he
hopes his professional ac-
complishments will outweigh
recent negative publicity
associated with his arrest for
driving under the influence of
alcohol.
"I will completely review
the present policies with the
law enforcement agencies and
change the intake methods in
the prosecutor's office."
He also has plans to bring
crime education into the
schools to teach young
children to avoid being crime
victims.
