The event will be held noon Aug. 4 at the Southfield Hilton Hotel. The quartet is composed of local teen-age musicians Miriam and Gabriel Bolkosky, Suzette Shuller and Jerome Wilczynski. Miriam Bolkosky, cellist, has been winning competi- tions and amassing scholar- ships since the age of 7 when she performed at Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. She was one of 12 cellists selected to tour with the in- ternational Suzuki Associa- tion in 1977. In 1988 Miriam, along with her brother Gabriel, were two of the three winners of the Michigan Young Artists Competition sponsored by the Jewish Com- munity Center and the Michigan Council for the Arts. Gabriel Bolkosky, age 14, has been playing the violin for 10 years. He has won awards from the Music Study Club of Metropolitan Detroit, the National Music Camp at Interlocken, the Amity Music Club, the Livonia and Oakland Youth Symphonies.
