briefing on Chinese missiles
in Saudi Arabia that was con-
ducted at the Truman
Institute.
Dr. Bligh said that the
missiles, acquired recently by
the Saudis, constitute a
threat to the entire eastern
Mediterranean basin.
Therefore, Israel must
operate in cooperation with
the United States, which has
identical interests to those of
Israel in this matter, in order
to insure that the missiles
will not be used.
He also said that as far as
is known, the Saudis do not
now have a nuclear capabili-
ty, but they do have close rela-
tions with Pakistan, which
has developed the nuclear
"Islamic bomb." It is con-
ceivable that China, under
extreme circumstances, could
enable Pakistan to transfer
this weapon to the Saudis,
Bligh said.

Arabs To Sell
Fruit To Europe
Amsterdam (JTA) — Palesti-
nian citrus growers in the
West Bank and Gaza Strip
will soon have direct access to
the European market.
The European citrus im-
porters have signed a contract
with the Palestinian ex-
porters to accept their pro-
duce without the intervention
of the Israel Citrus
Marketing Board.
Holland was largely in-
strumental in arranging the
deal, which is expected to
greatly improve the Palesti-
nian economy in the ter-
ritories.

Torahs Buried
Jerusalem (JTA) — In accor-
dance with Jewish custom,
Torah books that were
damaged and desecrated by
the Nazis in Hungary during
World War II were brought to
Jerusalem for burial. The re-
mains were carried in pottery
jars by members of the chevra
kadisha, the burial society, to
the place of internment on
the Mount of Olives last
week.
The books were shipped to
Israel by the Menora organi-
zation and the Religious
Affairs Ministry. Zvi Fixler,
president of the Orthodox
Jewish community in Buda-
pest, apologized for the condi-
tion of the books, which were
all that could be saved.
Moshe Moskovits, chair-
man of Menora, said negotia-
tions were going on with
other East European coun-
tries to bring Torah books to
Israel.
