New York (JTA) — Twenty-
five teenagers from the
United States and Canada
have been named 1988 Edgar
M. Bronfman Youth Fellows
under a unique program
designed to develop Jewish
community leaders commit-
ted to Jewish unity.
The young people, 13 girls
and 12 boys, will spend five
weeks of intensive study,
travel and dialogue in Israel
this summer to gain a close
understanding of the land,
culture and a cutoms of the
country.
They include Jonathan Tep-
perman, 16, of Windsor, Ont.,
who commutes to the United
States each day to attend
Detroit Country Day School
in Birmingham.

Secret Donor
Is Identified

New York (JTA) — Late
Nebraska Jewish community
leader Henry Monsky has
emerged as the once
anonymous donor who helped
Father Edward Flanagan het
his famed Boys Town, a home
for abused, abandoned and
neglected children, off its
financial feet.
That revelation is one of
many in a study of the two
men being conducted jointly
by Boys Town and the
Nebraska Jewish Historical
Society in Omaha. Their in-
vestigation will culminate
next year in an exhibit entitl-
ed "Two Men Who Cared."
