Bar-Ilan Annual Dinner
Set For Shaarey Zedek

The annual Bar-Ilan dinner
will be held on Sept. 7 at Con-
gregation Shaarey Zedek, an-
nounced Sharon Hart and
Lawrence S. Jackier, Bar-
Ilan's general chairmen in
Detroit. This year's honorees
will be Irving and Barbara
Nusbaum.
A number of chairmen have
been named to head the
various activities that Bar-
Ilan's Detroit friends will be
conducting prior to and in
conjunction with the dinner.
Heading this year's Workers
Recruitment Committee will
be Beverly Liss and Dean
Gould. Liss just successfully
co-chaired the third annual
donor luncheon for the
American Women for Bar-
Ilan and last year served as
the university's ar-
rangements chairman in con-
junction with the dinner.
Gould served last year as Bar-
Ilan's new prospects
co-chairman.
This year's New Prospects
Committee will be co-chaired
by Michael Eizelman and Ar-
thur Liss.
Chairing this year's Ar-
rangements Committee will
be Terran Leemis. Abraham
Pasternak has been ap-
pointed Bar-Ilan's synagogue
liaison.
The Bar-Ilan telethon com-
mittee will again be co-
chaired by Nora Lessman and
Sherman Shapiro. In Windsor
and Ibledo, chairmen for the

university have been ap-
pointed. Jacob Rosenthal will
represent Windsor. Leo
Goldner has assumed the
Bar-Ilan chairmanship in
Toledo.

Summer Classes
At The Center

The Jewish Community
Center, Maple/Drake
Building, will continue its
summer classes in Suzuki
and traditional music lessons
for adults and children, dance
classes for adults and
children, experimental water-
color and bridge. A specializ-
ed reading course for college-
bound students also is
available.

the classes at the Jewish
Community Center are open
to the public.

Parkinson
Group Meets

Southfield-Oak Park Sup-
port Group, Michigan Parkin-
son Foundation, will have a
potluck picnic at the "Bright
Spot" at McDonnell Towers,
24400 Civic Center Dr., at 6
p.m. July 20. The Rose
Morgan Choir will entertain.
