Program at Borman Hall of
the Jewish Home for Aged
has served metropolitan
Detroit's elderly community
who live in their own homes,
but may be in need of special
support services for daily
living.
This structured program in
a Jewish environment has
recently added physical and
occupational therapy,
audiology, vision testing,
blood pressure checks, dental
care, family counseling,
bathing and beauty shop ser-
vices to its offerings.
Transportation is also
available to and from par-
ticipants' homes.
The Home's Borman Hall
program includes kosher
meals, daily synagogue ser-
vices, as well as entertain-
ment and programs con-
ducted by staff and volunteers
in the Jewish community.
Yiddish and Hebrew melodies
are often heard, adding to the
comfort of being in familiar
surroundings. In addition, a
separate lounge area equip-
ped with recliners and a
sleeping room is available.
