Teen Musicians
Go To Canada

The Harrison High School
Orchestra took a 4-day educa-
tional trip to Toronto where
they paricipated in a research
clinic at Ontario's York
University. They performed
with seven other orchestras
from the United States and
Canada at Canada's
Wonderland.
Representing Harrison
High School's 32 musicians
were Karen Levinson, Sarah
Paul, Dina Zamczyk, Brian
Ross, Jon Blatt, Brian
Lebovitz, Matt Paletz and
Ron Letwinski.

Detroit United Synagogue
Youth affiliates will par-
ticipate in USY-On-Wheels
this summer. The program is
sponsored by the department
of youth activities of the
United Synagogue of
America. It includes a tour
and program of Jewish living
and learning experiences.
Five buses will travel
separate routes from New
York to California and back,
while a sixth bus will travel
a new route to and from
Florida. In all, 270 teens will
participate accompanied by
four staff members on each
bus.
The summer is highlighted
by visits to Disneyworld,
Universal Studios, the Sears
Tower and the Houston
Astrodome to name a few.

Throughout the summer, par-
ticipants will take part in an
education program that
teaches them about their
heritage.
Four of the buses stop in
Detroit. Group C will be at
Adat Shalom Synagogue on
Aug. 4. Groups A,D and F will
be at the Michigan Inn on
Aug. 5, July 3 and July 24,
respectively.
