Blustein Marks
30th As Chaplain
Rabbi Alan M. Blustein,
director of pastoral care at
Sinai Hospital of Detroit, will
complete 30 years of service
as a U.S. Army Chaplain and
hospital chaplain on Tuesday.
Blustein was ordained at
the Hebrew Theological Col-
lege of Skokie, Ill., in 1958
and entered active duty in Ju-
ly of that year. He left the Ar-
my 22 years later with the
rank of lieutenant colonel
and came to Sinai Hospital in
January 1981.
He has served three con-
secutive terms as president of
the Michigan Board of
Rabbis.
