The award, which honors
individuals who foster a
greater community
understanding of the legal
and judicial system, is
typically given to members
within the OCBA. Maldonado
and Oberman are the second
and third persons outside the
2,900 member OCBA to
receive the hoer. Channel 4's
vice-president and general
manager, Alan Frank, was
honored by the group in 1987.

CAROL STEWART has
been named architectural
and design account manager
at Contract Interiors, a
Southfield-based office en-
vironment consulting firm.
In this newly created posi-
tion, Stewart will be respon-
sible for developing working
relationships and joint pro-
jects with architectural and
design firms in the
community.

SHERRIE WEITZMAN has
joined Ross Roy, Inc. advertis-
ing agency as a senior ac-
count executive.
Weitzman comes to Ross
Roy from D'Arcy, Masius,
Benton and Bowles, where
she was an account super-
visor. She previously held
positions in marketing and
research at DMB and B and
Ross Roy. Weitzman began
her advertising career at
Stone and Simos in
Southfield.
Weitzman earned a
bachelor's degree from the
University of Michigan and
an MBA from Wayne State
University. She is also a part-
time instructor in advertising
and marketing at Lawrence
Institute of Technology in
Southfield.

ARNOLD S. BERG has
been elected American Col-
lectors Association director.
Berg will serve as liaison bet-
ween the Michigan Associa-
tion of Collection Agencies
and the National Association
in Minneapolis, which is com-
posed of over 3,400 member
agencies worldwide.
Berg has been president of
Tri-County Collection
Bureau, Inc. of Southfield
since 1956.
He will represent the
Michigan Unit at the na-
tional convention in Maui,
Hawaii this month.
