Join Festival
Jewish organizations and
notables from the community
will participate in Oak Park's
Funfest '88 slated today
through July 4.
The funfest will include a
sidewalk sale, softball tour-
naments, tennis tourna-
ments, an ice cream social,
music in the park, water
games, dance-pool party, golf
tournament, fireworks and a
parade.
Participating in the cele-
bration's international
festival on Sunday at Shep-
herd park are: Jewish Com-
munity Council, Jewish
Federation Apartments,
Sarah's Deli, Hora Aviv
Dancers, Irving Stepack
Woodcarvers and Rhoda
Wallace.
On July 4, Eric Rosenow
and His Continentals will
entertain. There will be
booths sponsored by the Con-
gregation B'nai David Men's
Club, Lubavitch Women's
Organization, Glazer BBG
and King AZA. Participating
in the parade on July 4 will
be the Jewish War Veterans,
Representative Sandy Levin,
Oakland County Commis-
sioner Dennis Aaron, Oak
Park Mayor Charlotte Roth-
stein, Oak Park Councilman
Gerald Naftaly, Mayor Pro
Tem Arthur Frohlich, Ray
