is especially impressive,
because American delegates
to the assembly pay for their
own trip.
"The delegates!" he said,
"want to find for themselves
how their money is spent in
Israel."
Taub and Kessler said that
discussion about changes in
the role of the Jewish Agen-
cy will focus on four main
areas:
a proposal to turn the
Jewish Agency's absorption
activities of new immigrants
in Israel to the Israeli
Ministry of Absorption;
moving from rural to
regional development, as
recommended by a committee
headed by reserve Maj. Gen.
Meir Amit. The committee
calls for a new settlement and
development approach, with
emphasis on whole regions,
such as the Negev and the
Galilee, to attract significant
Jewish populations;
Jewish education and the
future agency role in it, and
the possible creation of a joint
authority on Jewish educa-
tion in the diaspora, to avoid
duplication with the WZO
programs; and Israel's social
needs, including the progress
of Project Renewal, the com-
-munity revitalization pro-
gram sponsored by individual
federations around the
country.

Shultz Has
Jets For Sale

Washington (JTA) —
Secretary of State George
Shultz said June 16 that the
range of the F/A-18 fighter
planes the Reagan ad-
ministration wants to sell to
Kuwait "is not sufficient to
conduct any sortie against
Israel from Kuwait." Shultz
was testifying at a Senate Ap-
propriations subcommittee
hearing, where he was told by
Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-
N.J.) that he and Sen. Dennis
DeConcini (D-Ariz.) are work-
ing to "make certain there
are some guarantees in the
event that this sale takes
place!'
He asked Shultz whether
the plane's combat radius
could be extended "in a way
that would enable them to at-
tack Israel from Kuwait."
Shultz responded that the
F/A-18 Hornet, which up to
now has not been sold to any
Third World country, won't
have a refueling capability, so
"it isn't going to have its
range extended by that
means."

The Best Backyard Fun on the Block

Headache pain is an everyday
fact of life for millions of
Americans. Add to these the addi-
tional millions who suffer from
backaches, stiff necks, arms or
legs, rheumatism or arthritis and
you have some idea of why
Americans pay out $480 million
each year for aspirin. That nearly
half a billion dollars buys 25 tons
of pain relief every day of the year.
If people would only realize
they have about as much chance
of being permanently rid of their
pain with aspirin as they have of
winning the shell game at the local
carnival! Perhaps even less, since
the shell game operator may let a
player win now and then just to
make it look good.
Even the label on the aspirin
bottle says "for temporary relief."
It holds out no promise of perma-
nent relief or a permanent cure.
Most labels further warn, "if pain
persists, see your doctor.-
Yet people fail to heed that war-
ning. Could it be because they fail
to understand that every pain, no
matter how minor or severe, is
really a warning that something
else is wrong in the body?
Headaches are not an illness in
themselves, but are indicative of

other problems. In many cases of
headache pain, it has been shown
that the actual cause of the pain
is a pinched nerve in the cervical
(neck) vertebrae. No amount of
aspirin or other pain relievers will
correct a pinched nerve condi-
tion. They will merely mask the
pain and lull the victim into a false
sense of well-being.
The head-
ache victim
will never be
truly rid of
the pain un-
til proper
nerve func-
tion has been
restored.
Since pinch-
ed nerves are
the result of

misaligned vertebrae, many
headache victims are turning to
their Doctors of Chiropractic for
help. The Chiropractic adjustment
is designed to restore the vertebrae
to their proper alignment, thus
allowing nerve energy to flow
uninterrupted from the brain to all
parts of the body.
Correction of the cause of a
health problem, not temporary
relief, is the Chiropractic goal.
