lonely being a Jewish
spiritual healer," she said,
"because most organizations
talk about the Christ con-
sciousness and say that
unless you're a born-again
Christian you're a fake."
Then Horn heard about
JASH, and joined. She was
the first and only North
American member, although
there are others, including
several rabbis, who practice
spiritual healing in the
United States.
"I am not a faith healer,"
stressed Horn emphatically.
"My clients do not have to
believe in any particular God
to be healed. If my God said
He could only heal this per-
son or that person because
they believe in Him, I'd go
looking for another God."
Horri also emphasized that
it is not she who performs the
actual healing. "I am acting
as a channel for God," she
said. "I pray to God to use me
to send His energy to this per-
son, wherever he or she needs
it."
Despite Horn's modesty,
many of her clients swear by
her ability and bedside man-
ner. One client, Toni Ceasar,
has been sending her hus-
band and child to Horn to
cure their ailments since she
was healed through Horn
about three years ago.
"I stand clear of doctors,"
said Ceasar. "They are so
cold. Florence is so per-
sonable. She becomes a
friend. I would sign a docu-
ment attesting to her
credibility any day of the
week?'
According to Ceasar, Horn
cured her severe tooth ache,
which "went away in
seconds," blood spots in her
son's eyes that "greatly
diminished in seconds," the
pain of an injured foot that
"went away instantly," and
many of her family's bad
colds.
Ceasar explained that Horn
makes no physical contact
with her clients when healing.
Not all of Horn's clients,
however, leave her office
cured. This reporter, for one,
did not. Horn attributed these
failures to a variety of possi-
ble factors.
"Some people are just not
sensitive to the energy," she
explained. "And if I sense
that the person will use this
energy to make the problem
worse, I won't be party to it."
Also according to Horn,
there are no failures because
"a healer is working on an en-
tirely different level than a
_doctor. I believe in Einstein's
theory of relativity, that there
is no such thing as time and
space?'
