and crafts and cook-outs. It's riding
a horse at the Mahler Equestrian
Center. It's learning new Hebrew
words that one can instantly use at
camp. It's making ceramic candle
holders or kiddush cups that can be
taken home. It's singing Hebrew
songs. It's a small group with a real

family feeling. Kfar Ivri means
Hebrew Village and it's located at
Camp Maas. Kids entering 6th-8th
grades may apply. July 26-August 21.

The kosher kitchen at Camp Maas is
under the supervision of the Council
of Orthodox Rabbis.

and the great-granddaughter
of Mrs. Isadore Kretzmer of
Southfield.
A dinner-dance in her
prents' home was held in
honor of Heather's bat
mitzvah.

B'not Mitzvah

Emily Beth Cohen,
daughter of Annie and Robert
Cohen, and Heather Nicole
Samson, daughter of Marge
and Elliott Samson, will twin
their b'not mitzvah with Irina
Knokh of Leningrad USSR
today at Temple Israel.
Irina is the daughter of
Vladimir and Asya Knokh.
Knokh had been denied exit
visas since 1975 because he is
a "security risk." He was told
that if he and his wife divorc-
ed, he wife would be able to go
to Israel with her daughter.
They divorced and have still
been denied exit visas. Irina
is a musical composer and has
won many awards.
Both Emily and Heather
have made attempts to con-
tact Irina but have not been
successful.

Kenny Kozloff, who will
become bar mitzvah on June
18 at Beth Shalom, was to
have twinned his ceremony
with Daniel Lifshitz of the
