I LOCAL NEWS 1 Marvelous Makeovers by Monica Specializing in Wedding and Bar Mitzvah Parties Nursery Has New Program Adat Shalom Nursery School is beginning a new, two-day program, designed especially for 2 year olds who are ready for a full morning of nursery school activities. The classes, which will begin Sept. 8, are offered at 9 a.m. on Tuesday and Thurs- day mornings. Youngsters must be between 2 1/2 and 3 years old to enroll. Class size is limited to 12 children, each with a teacher and an assistant. Nursery school director is Dottie Levitsky. The new program is an ex- pansion of offerings by Adat Shalom Nursery School, which now serves more than 300 youngsters. A parent- toddler program for children 17 months to 3 1/2 years meets one morning per week. "Just For Me" is offered at 10 a.m. for 2 1/4 to 3 year olds. For children 2 1/2 and up there is a three-morning program, and for those 3 and up three mor- nings or three afternoons are offered. Youngsters beginning at 3 years, 10 months may attend on three or five mornings or afternoons. The school also has a transitional kinder- garten for older 4 year olds and younger 5 year olds to bridge the gap between nursery school and kinder- garten. Lunch and sup- plemental enrichment pro- grams are also available for those students enrolled in nursery school. Currently there are open- ings in the school's two-day morning programs, in the three- and five-day afternoon classes, in "Just For Me," and in the parent-toddler classes.
