Youth (CRUSY) convention,
David Tessler of Beth
Abraham Hillel Moses USY
was elected regional
president.
CRUSY, which includes 29
chapters in Michigan, Ohio,
Kentucky, Indiana and Penn-
sylvania, totals 875 members.
Also elected to the ex-

Scholarships
Recipients of scholarships
to participate in the ZOA-
Masada Summer in Israel
and other Israel programs
were announced by Sidney
Silverman, chairman of
Metro Detroit ZOA's Masada
Scholarship Endowment
Program.
Rachel Belenson and Adam
Weiner received a gift from
the perpetual scholarship
fund endowed by Mr. and Mrs.
Irving Pitt. Yana Shend
received a scholarship from
the Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
Hechtman perpetual scholar-
ship fund. Ariel Schwedel
received a gift from the Mr.
and Mrs. Nathan I. Goldin
perpetual scholarship fund.
Brenda Dater was the reci-
pient of the Mr. and Mrs.
Philip Slomovitz scholarship
and Matthew May received
the Mrs. Jack Sylvan
scholarship.

and Sandy Rockind entitled
"Israel at 40: Past, Present,
and Future," will be perform-
ed in memory of Mr. Morris
Noble. Dr. Shalom Kalib is
the musical director.
